This page has evolved into my personal chronicle into the world of photography. When I first picked up a camera I never dreamed that my life would get to the point where I am now!
JessicaDobbs and I almost to the point where we are exclusively living off of our dream. Every day brings us closer to supporting ourselves with our love of photography. This journey started out as a hobby for both of us. Shortly after we got married in 2012, Jess bought me my first dSLR as a wedding gift, photography turned into almost an obsession... For both of us. To learn, to improve, to perfect. We're still learning and improving, but we know we will never perfect completely this art of capturing moments in time.
You won't find too much of my "business" work here. This page will largely remain, as it always has, my personal domain. A particular image I may be proud of might make it's way in here from time to time though. :)
I am a film turned digital photographer. I learned on two old manual cameras (which I still have)... A
Minolta XG-M, and an even older
Mamiya Sekor DSX 1000. My current daily sidekick is typically my little Canon Rebel SL1 or my old Canon EOS 6D along with an assortment of lenses. I work with a Nikon D750 for portraits and landscapes (that don't involve a day of hiking), this awesome rig is also my wedding workhorse. I also have a film Rebel that I use occasionally, not wanting to completely give up the magic that film can bring.
I love spending time with my wife
, out photographing our world together! Take a moment to check out her gallery too, it is awesome (better than mine)!
I would like to add that I appreciate each and every
and
... It is no longer possible to thank you all individually, but rest assured, in lieu of this I do my best to reciprocate. I would much rather show my thanks by supporting your work too!
